There is full disabled access to the surgery and all its facilities including:
– Hearing loop
– Examination couch
– Disabled toilets
– Dedicated disabled parking
– Communication in an accessible format
For medical emergencies which cannot wait until the surgery is routinely open, Please telephone the normal surgery number; you will be given the number of the emergency service. Emergency home visits are only available for those patients who are medically housebound. A Walk-In Centre is available at the Merlyn Vaz centre from 8:00am to 8:00pm seven days a week.read more

There are two kinds of risk stratification. The first kind is a process for identifying some patients within a Practice who might benefit from extra assessment or support with self-care because of the nature of their health problems. The process is a mixture of analysis of information by computer followed by review of the results by a clinical team at the Practice.read more
Confidentiality & Medical Records: The practice complies with data protection and access to medical records legislation. Identifiable information about you will be shared with others in the following circumstances:
To provide further medical treatment for you e.g. from district nurses and hospital services.
To help you get other services e.g. from the social work department. This requires your consent.
When we have a duty to others e.g. in child protection cases anonymised patient information will also be used at local and national level to help the Health Board and Government plan services e.g. for diabetic care.
This is to update you on the situation at Springfield road regarding appointment availability. We have now taken over the consulting rooms at Springfield Road as of 1st January 2017 and we also have two new advanced nurse practitioners which should reduce the pressure on GP appointments. We have now appointed two new salaried doctors to replace the doctors who have left.
We ask that you try to understand the pressure the practice is under to continue providing the excellent care we have always delivered.
