Secure private messaging from the practice

Willowbrook Medical Centre has introduced a new online service. Now you can contact a doctor for same day help, initially with: repeat prescriptions, sore throat, cough, sinusitis and urinary infections. We will be adding to that list over the next few weeks.  Go to to register.


To use the service you need to have validated your ID with the practice — you do this by dropping in to the practice with photo ID such as your with your driver’s license or passport, or by bringing those documents in next time you visit the surgery for any other reason.


Using Docly couldn’t be easier — once registered you will be asked questions about your condition and the doctor will come back to you with advice and arrange treatment if needed. Go to to register. Need help registering? Pop down to the surgery and we can help out.


How does it work?

  1. Select what you want help with and log in

First, choose the condition you’d like to receive help for. You will also have the option to renew an existing prescription. If you’re using Docly for the first time, you’ll also need to create an account.

  1. We’ll ask you to confirm the name of your surgery. At launch, Docly is only available to patients of a select number of clinics in the Leicester area.
  2. Answer questions about your condition

You describe your condition through a series of questions related to your symptoms and, if required, take a photo with your mobile phone.

  1. Exchange messages with your doctor if needed and receive a diagnosis and treatment.

Your doctor contacts you using secure messaging in your account and you continue your consultation when and where it suits you. They give you a diagnosis, offer the best advice on suitable treatment and — where needed — send a prescription to you or your pharmacy.
